After the success of the October 2011 Packaging Innovations exhibition, the Widdowson Group will, once again, be showcasing its comprehensive contract packing services at the 2012 exhibition. The company will be on stand J26 from 29th February to 1st March 2012 at the NEC, Birmingham.
Operating from a dedicated contract packing facility in Glenfield, Leicester, Widdowson's contract packing division has built a reputation for high quality product customisation. New contracts won and continued business growth from existing customers has increased the division's turnover by 90 percent. As a result the contract packing facility has been expanded to 65,000 sq ft and completely refurbished to further streamline its processes.
The business specialises in hand assembly, labelling, barcoding, reverse logistics, stretch wrapping and heat sealing. It achieved the prestigious BRC Global Standard accreditation for Consumer Products; this demonstrates Widdowson has the right procedures and policies in place to achieve the highest possible standard for its contract packing operation.
John Berrey and Paul Turner, business development managers at the Widdowson Group and the company's operations manager, Clarke Robinson, will be on hand at the exhibition to provide expert advice on contract packing issues. Berrey comments, "We are confident that this exhibition will live up to our expectations and provide us with new opportunities to help potential customers to improve their contract packing services."
