Design, Innovation and Sustainability for the Built Environment

Earls Court 18 – 21 September 2008 The sixth edition of 100% Detail will focus on innovation, sustainability and design in the built environment by bringing together selected products and for the first time the 100% Detail conference will be in partnership with the BRE. The 100% Detail conference will address public buildings, large commercial, and industrial, 2012, regeneration and homebuilding projects. Alongside this, the BRE partnership brings an interactive feature, Cracking the Code and BREEAM (Building Research Environmental Assessment Method), providing seminar sessions on how to practically achieve different levels of the Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM featuring new developments for 2008. 100% Detail will also host BRE's 2008 BREEAM Awards. Exhibitors and Launches Innovative exhibitors from the UK and overseas have been handpicked to showcase the latest and best in building products and design solutions. Last years favourites returning for another great year will include; Rodeca, Sky-Frame, Schott, KLH, Finnforest Merk and Telling Architectural. 100% Materials 100% Materials, a dedicated sector at 100% Detail, will present an impressive collection of innovative and futuristic materials that cross not only the boundaries between architecture and design but also across a wide platform of technologies. Internationally recognised authority on materials and accomplished lecturer at Central St Martins, Chris Lefteri, will curate the 100% Materials installation and present a series of interactive and tactile workshops. Forbo, the global leader in flooring, bonding and movement systems are partners for 100% Materials this year. This collaboration is the perfect match for this incredibly popular feature since Forbo understands the importance of connecting materials, and perfecting surfaces to enhance our everyday lives. CIBA Xymara Theatre CIBA Xymara are sponsoring and re-designing this years seminar theatre. This years theatre will be recycled and re-created by German design company Vr Bruns & Spies Gbr, and artist Marco Giollo, using CIBA Xymara coatings to spectacular effect. Wood Awards The Wood Awards are the premier award for wood in buildings and furniture. The full shortlist will be announced and exhibited for the fifth year running at 100% Detail followed by the awards ceremony in October. Special Features An exciting collaboration with Tom Dixon, Rodeca, and Modul will see the installation of a pavilion at the 100% Detail bar. Updates 100% Detail is an evolving exhibition with new and exciting exhibitors, events, with news being updated from week to week.
