Amvar Handling Solutions renews major rental contract with Cannock based, fence manufacturer Treeway Fencing Limited

Forklift distributor, Amvar Handling Solutions has recently delivered a fleet of five new forklift trucks to its customer – Treeway Fencing Limited.

Treeway, which is a family firm based in Cannock Wood, began trading in 1977 and specialises in the manufacture and distribution of domestic and industrial timber fencing and related products.

The company, which now employs 70 people, was founded by Ken Greenaway Senior nearly 35 years ago and is currently run by his son Ken Greenaway Junior, whose two sons David & Jack are also coming through the business.

Treeway is always busy at this time of year as it also supplies nearly 10,000 Christmas trees to the public through four retail sites and to local schools, churches and town centres! Trees as tall as 40 feet can also be erected by the company if required!

This specialised fleet of handling equipment is being supplied on a five year contract hire agreement and consists of the following machines:

2 x Toyota 8FDJ35, 3500kg capacity, diesel forklift trucks fitted with full steel cabs and Bolzoni hydraulic fork positioners to safely handle varying widths of loads
1 x JCB Teletruk TLT30D also fitted with the same Bolzoni fork positioner to load and unload from one side of a trailer
2 x Toyota 8FD18, 1800kg capacity, diesel trucks for general handling
Amvar Handling Solutions has supplied Treeway with similar equipment over the last five years.

When asked why Treeway had renewed the contract with Amvar, Ken Junior had this to say:
"We run a very busy operation here at Treeway and therefore we rely heavily on our forklift supplier to keep the handling equipment running at all times. Amvar has always given us excellent support and their local engineers do a superb job. I must admit we did have cheaper offers ‘on the table’ but we decided to stay with Amvar as they are a very professional outfit."

Malcolm Mitchell, MD of Amvar added:
"We are absolutely delighted to secure this contract renewal with our prestigious customer Treeway Fencing, especially on the strength of our service and support operations. Going forward, we look forward to an even stronger relationship with Treeway"
