BIFA reveals September 2016 training programme

The latest programme of freight forwarder training courses has been released by the British International Freight Association BIFA commencing in September.

It includes a huge variety of training offers in various parts of the freight forwarding business, at a variety of levels targeting beginners to more experienced participants.

As safety and knowledge is a major priority of the trade association and its membership, many of these courses highlight the importance of these issues and allow members and non-members to take advantage of these opportunities that are specific to the UK freight forwarding industry.

The courses cover a variety of areas, they include: BTEC Intermediate Awards in Multimodal International Freight Procedures and in Customs Export and Import Procedures. Other courses cover Customs Import Entry and Procedures, Custom Procedures For Export Cargo, Custom Procedures For Import Cargo and The Basics of Sea Freight.

Robert Keen, BIFA Director General said: “Training continues to be central to BIFA’s activities. BIFA wants to improve the quality of freight forwarder education and skill development all round and in particular encourage the next generation of freight forwarders in their careers. As ever, as well as providing courses at BIFA’s HQ, we also present at locations across the country. This means that members and non-members wishing to undertake courses can do so locally and conveniently.”
