Continental to showcase new Earthmover Range at Hillhead 2016

Continental will be present with its latest tyre solutions for construction and mining applications at Hillhead, Buxton, between 28th and 30th June.

Continental will showcase it’s new Earthmover tyres on the T&C Site Services Ltd stand, located at stand U1. The leading German tyre manufacturer will display the Continental EM-Master, the latest addition to its tyre range, customised for the specific demands in the construction and earthmover segment. In addition, the company’s tyre pressure monitoring system – ContiPressureCheck – will also be on show. ContiPressureCheck uses a sensor inside the tyre to continuously monitor inflation pressures and tyre temperature and relays the information to a display in the driver cab. Any drop in pressure, results in an audible and visual alert to the driver enabling corrective action to be taken before the tyre is irreparably damaged.

T&C Site Services Ltd. are strong partners in the Conti Industrial Fleet Network, fitting a range of Continental products right across the range from solids through to industrial pneumatic tyres including OTR, Ports and Earthmover applications.

Conti EM-Master: excellent self-cleaning capabilities

The Conti EMMaster E3/L3 features a normal tread depth and wider spacing of blocks compared with the Conti EM-Master E4/L4. This results in excellent self-cleaning characteristics, powerful traction, and good maneuverability even in muddy terrain. The open tread design and normal tread depth (100 percent) of the E3/L3 further offer a better cooling and therefore less heat buildup for a long service life.

The Conti EM-Master E4/L4 is an excellent option for use in gravelly and rocky grounds. The new tyre solution features a greater block size with less spacing between the blocks and a deeper tread depth. Therefore, it offers a higher carcass protection and superior cutting resistance, minimizing the risk of punctures and downtimes. The less tread block spacing facilitates a smoother running even on hard surfaces. Due to a high tread wear volume, the Conti EM-Master E4/L4 offers an even longer service life compared to the E3/L3.

Conti RDT-Master E4: maximum traction even with heavy loads

The Conti RDT-Master E4 is designed for the transport of extra-heavy loads which responds to its wide applicability on heavy construction dump trucks. The special tread design with a deep tread depth as well as a wide and flat tread radius offers a high loading capacity and cutting resistance. The angled edges and the open shoulder design allow higher lateral stability. This leads to a better driving behavior and maximum traction even on curvy terrain. In addition, the special tread design results in excellent cleaning characteristics on muddy ground.

To increase the safety and efficiency of vehicle fleets, the proven ContiPressureCheck™ monitoring system can be easily mounted on the Conti RDT-Master E4 as well as on the Conti EMMaster E3/L3 and E4/L4.
