Cool Cube selects Verilocation for its real-time temperature monitoring solution

Cool Cube Logistics Ltd, a UK-based company specialising in 24-hour temperature controlled courier services has contracted Verilocation to provide a bespoke real-time vehicle tracking and temperature monitoring solution. The solution allows Cool Cube to report the live temperature and location of any load back to the customer at any time, as well as provide a comprehensive temperature report to customers within minutes of collection.

To be able to excel in its sector, Cool Cube needed to have access to the real-time location of its vehicles, paramount to maintaining its flexible operations and high standards of customer service. Cool Cube chose Verilocation due to the personalised solution, meaning that it is now able to constantly monitor and report the temperature of each delivery, particularly with regard to the chilled and frozen goods, where maintaining a constant low temperature is vital.

Steve Pearce, general manager at Cool Cube commented: “Part of the solution includes PTO door sensors, allowing customers to view the exact moment of door opening and closing events on the graphical temperature report and print outs. This can explain sharp rises or drops in temperature and shows if doors are being left open too long and goods unattended. We also receive immediate text or email alerts when the temperature thresholds are close to being breached, ensuring our customer’s temperature sensitive deliveries are always looked after.”

Live location tracking also enables Cool Cube to provide accurate ETAs on their deliveries, along with the ability to pre-warn customers on any delays for complete transparency.

Verilocation CEO Andrew Overton explained: “Our real-time integrated temperature monitoring and vehicle tracking solution ensures complete peace of mind for our customers, with live temperature tracking and threshold alerting. Being able to provide proof of temperature for their customers not only allows them to compete in their industry, but can also save thousands of pounds in spoilt loads.”

Pearce concluded: “In our view the team at Verilocation is quite advanced with their technology and are improving all the time. Their forward-thinking approach is a key fundamental for our business and enables us to constantly offer improved services for our customers. We’re thrilled to be working with Verilocation and look forward to a continued alliance.”
