Distribution company Nigel Rice Transport expand with Palletways

Nigel Rice Transport has added postcodes in Doncaster and Scunthorpe to that it already handles under the Palletways’ banner in Hull and York, the expansion involving two additions to the company’s double deck trailer fleet and the opening of a depot/warehouse on a 1.5acre site at Thorne, near Doncaster.

The latest trailer additions bring company’s double deck fleet count to seven. All are Montracon, the five latest fitted with fuel saving cant roofs.

Speaking of the expansion, managing director Nigel Rice said: "Our investment both in new trailers and in additional premises in Thorne will allow us to offer the same high level of service to customers in the Doncaster and Scunthorpe areas as that enjoyed by our existing customers in Hull and York who are service from our Beverley headquarters."

Nigel Rice Transport also operates a growing number of Montracon straight frame curtainsiders in its 30+ distribution fleet that is primarily involved in moving for the print, foodstuffs, building/DIY, cleaning consumables and engineering sectors.
