easyFairs announce dates for Packaging Innovations 2011

The packaging industry once again is set to converge at the NEC, February 16th & 17th for easyFairs’ quartet of packaging shows. A diary date must for brand managers, marketers, manufacturers and retailers seeking the ultimate packaging solutions.

Whether you’re looking for new packaging concepts to achieve shelf standout, improve the environmental performance, outsourcing solutions or the latest technology to package your products quicker, more efficiently and ultimately cheaper, you will find it all here at the easyFairs PACKAGING 2011.

Packaging helps protect, preserve, promote, contain, carry information and reduce costs, with this in mind the easyFairs quartet of packaging shows – PACKAGING INNOVATIONS, ECOPACK, CONTRACT PACK and PACKTECH covers everything you need to know to package your products successfully.

Last year’s show attracted more than 4,000 visitors and with over 400 companies expected to exhibit and showcase their latest packaging ideas and solutions – it really is one show that will pack a punch!

easyFairs PACKAGING INNOVATIONS – now in its 7th year and Europe’s leading event for all that is ‘new’ in packaging, is where you will find the latest packaging designs, trends and materials.

easyFairs ECOPACK is the only UK show dedicated to sustainable packaging; recyclable, reusable and lightweight materials; low-waste packaging design; and low energy manufacturing techniques.

Catering for the growing trend for companies to outsource their packaging operations, there’s easyFairs CONTRACT PACK.

easyFairs PACKTECH will showcase the packaging machinery, printing systems and converting technology needed to turn new concepts into tangible packaging products. Sitting alongside PACKTECH is the’ Print for Packaging Zone’ – where exhibitors showcase their very latest developments in digital print.

For those of you keen to keep up with latest issues and trends, there are 50 scheduled free-to-attend learnShops to choose from spanning across every aspect of packaging delivered by industry experts. Participating in the ECOPACK learnShops will be WRAP, who will be delivering a two day programme focusing on several core areas from the role of packaging to sustainability and educating the consumer.

Also returning due to popular demand is The Lion’s Lair – giving six brave exhibitors an opportunity to pitch their latest products live to a panel of brand, retail and packaging experts. Only the most innovative products will be given this invaluable platform to convince the scary judges that their product is worthy of a very public thumbs up or thumbs down.

Matt Benyon, managing director of easyFairs UK, comments: "All the major names will be attending, but more importantly there will be a huge array of companies you just won’t see anywhere else – our NEC flagship show really has become the packaging show where the industry gathers. Over the years it has become clear that without packaging, products are meaningless. More and more businesses have woken up to this, put simply packaging sells."
