1,000 companies have already booked 100,000 square metres. Alfredo Mariotti, director of the event, says: “the complexity of the world market situation and the difficulties caused by the financial crisis on the real economy have encouraged us to eliminate – as an extraordinary measure – all the restrictions envisaged by the exhibition regulations so that companies can take part in all the exhibitions and promotional events scheduled in 2009”.
At ten months from the launch of EMO MILANO 2009 – the unique world event set to attract visitors from every part of the globe to the capital of Lombardy – 1,000 companies have already finalised their attendance with bookings of net exhibition area of about 100,000 square metres.
65% of companies confirming their attendance are international – a result that, albeit by no means definitive, certainly emphasises the international character of the event as the reference appointment for the world of metal processing.
The organising secretariat in short continues to receive attendance applications for the exhibition, where astounding show space has already been booked by the main brands operating in all the segments of the production systems industry: from metal forming to metal cutting, from auxiliary technologies to robotics, from automation to tools.
“In any case,” said Alfredo Mariotti, director of the event, “the complexity of the world market situation and the difficulties caused by the financial crisis on the real economy have encouraged us to eliminate – as an extraordinary measure – all the restrictions envisaged by the exhibition regulations so that companies can take part in all the exhibitions and promotional events scheduled in 2009. Given the current situation, we could hardly not but encourage companies to propose their offerings on all markets”.
The extraordinary innovation for this edition is the new Exhibition Centre of fieramilano which, thanks to its functional and impressive structures, ensures every comfort for exhibitors and visitors as well as many other useful aspects for enjoyable exhibition attendance.
Promoted by CECIMO, the European Committee for Co-operation of the Machine Tool Industries, and organised by EFIM-ENTE FIERE ITALIANE MACCHINE, a subsidiary company of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian Association of machine tool, robot and automation manufacturers, EMO MILANO 2009 is being presented to the public through a roadshow of press conferences that, launched in October, will travel to the main capitals of the world industry in this sector.
Exhibitors at EMO MILANO 2009 will occupy the entire exhibition quarter of fieramilano: 180,000 square metres of exhibition area set up for an event that will attract 200,000 visitors. Constantly updated information is available through the site www.emo-milan.com.
