The Fortec Pallet Distribution Network has recently appointed Sharon Stilgoe as its Regional Commercial Manager.
The move marks a promotion for Sharon, who started as Regional Sales Manager with Fortec in May this year.
Before joining Fortec Sharon previously worked as Regional Relationship Director at sales training firm TACK International. During her time there she helped grow the business on a national, European and international level, and also won two prestigious sales training awards.
In the three years to September 2006 she was the National Accounts Manager of UPS and International Sales Manager at Lynx Express.
In her new role at Fortec, Sharon will be responsible for licensees in Wales, the Midlands, Peterborough, Devon and Cornwall. She will work closely with the licensees – helping them to achieve their business goals with the support of the Network.
Sharon boasts a decade of experience in the transport industry. But she said her role at TACK will also stand her in good stead for her new position. She lists her personal motivation, excellent negotiation and closing skills plus her experience and expertise as her main attributes.
She said: "Not only will this new role enable me to get to know our licensees better, it will also allow me to share my training and coaching experience for the benefit of our partners within the Network.
"I am really looking forward to this new challenge."
Sharon, aged 41, lives in Warwick with fiancé George. In her spare time she is a voluntary training provider with the Prince’s Trust and other youth organisations. To relax she enjoys a round of golf.
