Somerset’s inward investment organisation, Into Somerset, is reporting a significant increase in interest, with new enquiries up 32 per cent for the year to 1st March 2014. With 13 new enquiries registered last month, this year’s figures for February are the highest they have been in five years, up more than four times on last year and double the year before that.
The release of the latest figures coincides with the anniversary of the launch of two Into Somerset branded lorries in March 2013. Part of the Framptons Transport Services fleet, the trailers feature curtain livery based on Into Somerset’s distinctive ‘So Well Connected’ campaign, which highlights many of the successful brands already based in Somerset. Between them, the trailers have covered over 160,000 miles in the past year.
