FTA backs London's Clean Air Fund

Leading trade body the Freight Transport Association (FTA) has backed the Mayor of London's Clean Air Fund to improve air quality in the capital.

Natalie Chapman, FTA's Head of Policy for London, said:

"Reducing engine idling, even for short periods, reduces engine emissions and improves local air quality. By cutting fuel consumption it saves money too. Many of our members already employ best practice to reduce excessive idling, and we are happy to support a campaign which will help raise awareness across even more commercial vehicle operators in and around London."
