This year’s Motor Transport Awards – the Oscars of the freight and logistics industry – are fast approaching and once again the Freight Transport Association (FTA) is proud to sponsor the Operational and Compliance Excellence Award.
The Awards, which have been running for more than 25 years, are important for those operators who are shortlisted or win to because it demonstrates that they have reached the very highest standard in the industry.
Finalists and winners are chosen by experts drawn from the logistics sector. Each category is judged by its own panel normally comprising around four people selected for their individual areas of expertise – leading industry figures with years of experience in road transport.
Among the judges this year is FTA’s Director of Standards, Audit and Accreditation Sally Thornley, who said:
“FTA is delighted to be sponsoring the Motor Transport Operational Compliance Excellence Award once again. When judging this category, we’ll be looking for a company that has demonstrated exceptional compliance through an effectively managed transport operation.
“We’ll also want to see evidence of high levels of customer service along with an efficient and profitable operation, and a strategy for the development and training of their drivers and other staff within the organisation.”
Finalists in the Operational Compliance Excellence Award this year are CTS Group, O’Donovan Waste Disposal and One Stop Distribution.
The winners will be revealed on 6 July at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London.
