Gerben-Jan Gerbrandy, MEP and committee member for the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety will officially open the Plastics Recycling Show Europe (PRS) exhibition and conference taking place next week at the RAI Amsterdam on Wednesday 29 and Thursday 30 March. The free-to-attend event is the first to bring together businesses and organisations from across Europe’s plastics recycling sector.
More than 80 companies and organisations will be showcasing the latest advances in plastics recycling in the exhibition. Virtually every part of the European plastics recycling sector will be represented including recycling machinery and equipment suppliers, plastic material suppliers and compounders, handling and logistics services, pre-processors, plastics recyclers, waste management specialists, industry associations and consultants. Among industry leaders exhibiting at Plastics Recycling Show Europe are: Erema, Vecoplan, Tomra, Lindner, Suez, RPC bpi.recycled products and Veolia. As the inaugural event gains further momentum, many additional exhibitors have confirmed in recent weeks including: BessTrade, Blue Sky Plastics, BKS Knives, Cadel Deinking, Ergis and WiPa.
The Plastics Recycling Show Europe Conference will feature sessions on key plastic materials including PET, PVC, HDPE and LDPE, as well as others looking at plastics recycling industry challenges, the plastics recycling process and Design, Technology and Innovation.
Paolo Glerean, board member of Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) will introduce the RecyClass tool, designed to develop recyclable plastic packaging in the innovation session. Stephanie Maes, project manager at Waste Free Oceans, will introduce a process for recovering marine litter. Prominent industry speakers include Jason Ord, Director, Environmental Responsibility, Europe, Middle East, Africa at Hewlett-Packard and Gian de Belder, Principle Scientist (Packaging R&D/Sustainability) at Procter & Gamble.
PRE continues its strong support as partner for the exhibition and conference.
