Graham Hough appointed Business Development Manager of Geodis Logistics Calberson

With almost 25 years experience in sales Graham lists self motivation, people skills, strong commercial awareness and communication skills among his key strengths.

Graham started in sales with a Manchester-based stationers in 1985. In his role as Field Sales Manager he was responsible for a team of five salespeople.

In 1989 he went to Fife-based Buko Ltd where he was made National Business Development Manager (Materials Handling).

In 1995 Graham joined Christian Salvesen in Buxton Derbyshire as Business Development Manager. His main duties with Christian Salveson included examining frozen, chill, ambient and the wet bonded market sectors. During this time Salvesen, acquired Swift Service and Graham was promoted to Business Development Manager, Northern Region.

In 1998 Graham joined McGregor Cory as Business Development Manager (Consumer Shared User). During his eight years with the company he won a number of new contracts on both an individual and team basis and in 2004 was presented with an award for Outstanding Contribution to Consumer and Food Retail.

During 2007 and 2008 he worked as Business Development Manager for the CERT Group and London City Bond followed by a brief spell at Wincanton Plc.

Graham’s role at Geodis Calberson is to extend the company’s client base within their multi user warehousing and distribution business unit, specifically within the beers, wines and spirits sector as part of their new wine logistics division, Geodis Wine Logistics.

Graham commented: "Whilst the UK Logistics market is very mature and the beers, wine and spirits market also. I believe no one is offering the flexibility, full end to end solution and high levels of customer service that customers deserve. Knowing how Geodis respects and services their clients, I am convinced that our offering is something very different and very special."

As Vice Chairman of the Bonded Warehousekeepers Association, Graham plays a key role in the drinks distribution industry and Geodis Calberson runs a number of bonded warehouses across the world.

Graham is married to Anne and has two daughters, Sophie, aged 21 and Laura, aged 16. In his spare time he enjoys playing five-a-side football and motor sports.
