Hellmann receives double honours at the eyefortransport Best 3PL Supply Chain Awards

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, the globally operating logistics firm, was recognised with two awards at this year’s Best 3PL Supply Chain Awards, hosted by British logistics intelligence expert, eyefortransport. Due to its innovative supply chain solutions, Hellmann was nominated for excellence in the categories of "Best Renewable Energy Supply Chain" and "Best Retail Supply Chain" by a panel of international logistics experts. Hellmann was then selected as the winner of both categories with in excess of 500 customer nominations, which was the best turnout of voters.

This achievement is an especially great accomplishment in the area of renewable energy, and an acknowledgement of the success of the customer-oriented approach. Hellmann has developed its own industry solution for the renewable energy sector, which allows it to recognise the specific needs and characteristics within the branch, and advise the customer with a comprehensive logistics solution accordingly.

"We work together with our clients to develop customised solutions, such as a concept for the spare part delivery of wind turbines, which helps to minimize service levels," said Holger Meyer, Global Head of Renewable Energies at Hellmann, of the company’s success in the customer vote.

"We are delighted with the awards," stated Holger Meyer after the award presentation. "This shows the customers’ satisfaction with our services in the field of renewable energy."

Within the retail sector, the mid-sized company is concentrating on individually developed warehouse solutions, which are adapted to the specific requirements of the customer. In the retail business, it is important to react quickly to the typical fluctuations in demand. "The award shows the positive perception of our solutions in the market. We plan to continue developing consistent customized solutions, in order to generate maximum customer satisfaction," stated Daniel Steinmeier, Sector Manager – SCM-Retail.
