Hiab receives an order for 250 loader cranes from India

Hiab, part of Cargotec Corporation, has received an order for 250 HIAB loader cranes from Ashok Leyland, which is one of India’s major truck manufacturers. The order has been booked for Cargotec’s 2016 first quarter order intake.

Ashok Leyland will deliver transport trucks for Indian Army’s logistics vehicles fleet. The now ordered HIAB 088 cranes will be mounted on Ashok Leyland Super Stallion 8×8 High Mobility Vehicles (HMV) which have been configured to offer high mobility and power in highly demanding desert environments. These trucks play an important role of the renewal of the Indian Army’s logistics vehicle fleet.

The deliveries of the loader cranes will start in May 2016 and will be completed by October 2017.
