The GFG is a world-wide network of independent freight forwarders and logistics specialists, covering 12 US states and 52 countries, with offices or logistics facilities in over 200 cities. The Group ensures that any international freight requirements are handled by local experts, from start to finish, around the globe.

By working in close co-operation, GFG members provide an unrivalled local service on a global scale, as Rachel Marchant, Group Administrator for the GFG explains: "Whatever the freight or transport requirement, no matter the type or size of cargo, and wherever in the world it originates or is destined – the Global Freight Group’s network provides the on-the-spot expertise needed to ensure safe and secure transportation, efficient management of all export/import administrative functions, complete logistics support and expedited delivery to final destination."

Commercial Director at Meachers Global Logistics, Gary Whittle, said: "Having faced a tough selection process against some of the leading names in the business, we are delighted to have been chosen to be representing this prestigious organisation here in the UK. As one of the UK’s leading independent providers of logistics services, we are perfectly placed to act as the UK component of the Global Freight Group."

Managing Director of Meachers Global Logistics Stuart Terris, said: "Being elected as the exclusive UK provider for the Global Freight Group provides us with a huge opportunity to effectively compete in new and existing markets on an equal level with the larger multinational forwarders and brokers."
