New MI Payload weighing software from Avery Weigh-Tronix improves validation and traceability

Avery Weigh-Tronix has issued a new release of its MI Payload weighing software that stores and presents photographic images to improve validation and traceability within a business.

Images of vehicles, drivers and commodities can be stored within the database and presented to an operator during the weighing process. By comparing with live video feeds, the operator is able to identity the person, load and truck. This reduces the likelihood of misidentification through operator mistakes or even fraudulent intent.

MI Payload also allows the operator to capture the live image and have a permanent visual record of an individual transaction, which can be accessed at a later date. The ability to refer back to this image enables proof of delivery and invoice queries to be resolved more rapidly.

Says Simon Hallam, product manager for Avery Weigh-Tronix: "Although live images from CCTV have been used industry for several years to monitor activity, many installations have been prevented from retaining those images due to the high storage requirements. Payload’s use of advanced image compression technologies removes that barrier without any loss of image quality."
