Norbert Dentressangle has been named as Nestlé’s best locally managed supplier at the manufacturer’s inaugural supplier awards.
Norbert Dentressangle manages the warehousing operation at Nestlé Waters’ state-of-the-art production facility at Buxton and beat off tough competition from other Nestlé suppliers to lift the trophy at the awards evening which took place on 26 February at the Gatwick Hilton.
The awards have been developed to recognise the the role of Nestlé UK & Ireland’s suppliers in allowing the company to meet the expectations of its customers and their contribution in Nestlé’s own success story.
Frazer Crawley, Nestlé Waters’ Distribution Manager said: “Without the commitment and dedication shown by the Norbert Dentressangle team Nestlé would have struggled to achieve the success we have seen this year. Using a local distribution network to provide the labour for our warehouse site has made it a lot easier to flex our resources in an agile way to meet the sudden fluctuations in demand that we see in the waters business. They have coped with massive changes such as the installation of a further 5,000 pallet spaces of racking this year while still operating the warehouse in a safe and efficient manner. The effective management of the labour force has also brought the cost per pallet moved in well under budget. I’d recommend these guys and girls to anyone; a great supportive team for the Nestlé Waters business.”
