Norbert Dentressangle Transport Services has secured a new contract with Biasi UK, a leading supplier of boilers, renewables, radiators and towel warmers to the UK heating industry.
Established in the UK in 1990, Biasi, an Italian company, provides an unrivalled one-stop heating solution for retailers and also boasts a state-of-the-art training facility for merchants and installers at its site in Walsall. A member of the Gas Safe Register and CORGI, Biasi also has an ISO 9001 accreditation for quality management.
With its incumbent transport provider unable to match its own high standards of customer service, Biasi appointed Norbert Dentressangle to enhance its operation by using its radial multi-site network and bespoke SHARP (Shipment Handling and Reporting Program) IT system to integrate and track orders.
The supply chain specialist collects palletised products from Biasi’s plant in Walsall, before processing orders and consolidating loads at its nearby Rowley Regis site.
Once next day deliveries are made to customers including installation engineers and retailers across the UK, Biasi is issued with a POD (proof of delivery) via SHARP. The system enables the company to track deliveries in real time, provide enhanced customer communication and accurate delivery details.
