Palletforce Invests In Sales Team With New Sales Manager Post

Palletforce invests in sales team with new Sales Manager post

Palletforce, the UK’s leading palletised distribution network, has announced the appointment of a new UK sales manager.

Rachael Wood was previously North-West business development manager and takes up the newly-created position on 1 February 2016.

Her promotion is part of Palletforce’s “delivering better programme”, an ongoing investment initiative aimed at developing skills and promoting staff internally.

Rachael, who has been with the company for three years, will report to Palletforce sales and marketing director Dave Holland.

He says: “Rachael brings 10 years’ increasingly responsible sales experience to this key position. During her time with us she has constantly over-achieved her targets and delivered excellent results within the field, supporting members of the Palletforce sales support programme.”

Initially Rachael will work closely with former sales and marketing manager Trevor Mudd.

Trevor, who has been appointed Palletforce events manager, will now concentrate on increasing the quality and frequency of Palletforce events across the UK.

“Having been one of our longest-serving employees Trevor is now moving to a three-day week as part of his retirement plan,” says Dave Holland.

“Currently the company holds an event every four weeks and last year welcomed over 2,300 guests – so we are delighted that we can continue to rely on Trevor’s skills and experience to further promote the Palletforce brand.”

Palletforce, which celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2016, has recently announced plans to create a new 620,000 sq ft SuperHub at its existing site in Burton upon Trent.

The flagship complex, due to go online in 2017, will be capable of processing over 30,000 pallets a night and brings the total investment in the site to £50m. It is part of major ongoing investment in IT systems and infrastructure following Palletforce’s acquisition by private equity firm EmergeVest last year.

The company currently has 88 members, made up of independent haulage and distribution firms across the UK, and is a founder member of the Allnet European pallet distribution network.
