Staff from PRECISION – the PR agency of British Polythene Industries (BPI) plc – have gone the extra mile in support of a worthwhile cause.
Alongside thousands of other ‘runners’ all decked out in full Santa suits, the agency’s team braved sub-zero temperatures and an unusually early start on Sunday 28th November 2010 to take part in the 5k Co-Operative Santa Dash around Platt Fields Park, South Manchester.
In total, the team’s efforts raised over £200 in sponsorship from clients, suppliers, the media, friends and relatives, all of which will be donated to the Co-op’s chosen charity this year – Mencap.
Commenting, Wayne Mohammed, Managing Director at PRECISION, said: "In the course of its day-to-day work, PRECISION frequently extols the virtues of a strong commitment to CSR to our clients. This was our chance to stand by that advice, to have a bit of fun and to undertake a spot of impromptu team building.
