Sandpiper helps Lanxess UK

Upgrade its technology without interruption to critical manufacturing processes.

Sandpiper is delighted to announce that is has been selected to provide Lanxess with a replacement inventory management solution for the UK warehouse operation.

Referred to as Click2 Sandpiper's inventory management solution mirrored the existing functionality of the legacy WMS but recognising the experience Lanxess had gained using the legacy system incorporated additional enhancements to streamline and optimise information update tasks. The delivered solution comprises Cisco wireless infrastructure connecting dedicated fork lift truck mounted Datalogic Rhino model computers to the Click2 system. The project is being delivered under Sandpiper's FocusID managed service rental option whereby an all inclusive monthly rental rate is paid, per mobile computer user.

As a viable alternative to capital expenditure outlay FocusID helps companies expedite procurement of AutoID solutions by simplifying project implementation costs as a result of its inclusive price per user model. FocusID rental costs incorporate licensing, software, hardware, implementation, support and maintenance costs on a per user basis thereby enabling customers to budget extremely accurately for the duration on the rental agreement.
