Seminar focuses on health care waste

Regulatory law specialists Dyne Solicitors Limited are inviting health care waste managers to a seminar focusing on key hazardous waste issues.

The event, at Dyne Solicitors Limited's office in Tattenhall, Chester, on 25 October, will provide expert advice to help managers comply with the legal requirements around hazardous waste. Topics will include:

The implications of the Hazardous Waste Regulations
The implications of the Department of Health's guidance
Recycling
Reducing and managing waste costs Dealing with a regulatory visit by the Environment Agency.

John Dyne, of Dyne Solicitors Limited, said: “The seminar is a timely focus on this issue, as the Environment Agency is currently taking a much closer look at the waste the health sector produces and is dedicating a further 10,000 man hours to ensure compliance with the legal requirements.”

The seminar runs from 4.45pm-6.15pm and costs £23.50 per person, with a 50 per cent discount for each additional person from the same organisation. Light refreshments will be provided.

The event will be repeated on 7 February 2008 at the same time and venue.
