Terex Trucks unveils new products and plans at AED Summit in Washington D.C.

The recent Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) Summit provided the perfect platform for Terex Trucks to promote its new generation articulated dump trucks, as well as its continued investment in people, plant and products in North America.

The AED Summit is an annual convention for equipment distributors, organised by Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) to promote dialogue within the industry. This year’s event took place at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Washington. Attendees included former US president, George W. Bush, talking about his experiences as the country’s 43rd president.

A key Group of Terex Trucks representatives attended the summit, led by Paul Douglas, Director and General Manager, Sam Wyant, Global Sales and Marketing Director, and Matt Deloglos, Head of the Terex Trucks  North American regional sales managers. They were backed by a full complement of North American regional sales managers and service managers.

Over the course of three days, the Terex Trucks team held individual meetings with 20 different dealer decision-makers. They were able to offer an update of Terex Trucks’ future plans in the North American market and underline the company’s rock-solid commitment to investment in its dealer network, people, new products and aftersales.

Above all, the meetings were an invaluable opportunity to discuss how Terex Trucks can best support its dealers and their customers in 2016.

“The feedback we received from our North American dealers during the back-to- back meetings at the AED summit was very encouraging,” said Paul Douglas, Director and General Manager. “It was clear our dealers recognise and appreciate the business improvements we have put in place and trust us to do all we can to help them develop their sales and fully support their customers.”

“Most dealers generally reported a strong 2015 and see an equally positive outlook ahead for 2016. There is clearly business to be had in the North American market and a demonstrable appetite for Terex Trucks’ products, with their unique offering of excellent quality coupled with low cost of ownership.

“We are investing in our dealer network and are serious about building relationships, trust and increasing the Terex Trucks brand in the Americas. This investment underlines our dedication and commitment to the long haul.”

AED is an international trade association representing companies involved in the distribution, rental and support of equipment used in construction, mining, forestry, power generation, agriculture and industrial applications.
