Truckprotect travels to IAA Show with new range

of fuel and vehicle security/safety products. TruckProtect, manufacturers of the UK's best selling anti-fuel theft device, is heading to this year's IAA Show in Hanover, Germany, with a number of new and recently introduced products that can help transport operators improve their vehicles' safety and security.

In addition to the InstantFit NECK-IT, which has already sold over 100,000 units, the company's Stand (D10 in Hall 21) will be displaying a range of new anti-siphon models that stop fuel theft from vans, as well as the EcoFuelKleanz – a unique fuel conditioning system that reduces fuel-related breakdowns and services, improves filter life and reduces emissions – and the innovative wireless backWATCH reversing safety device which will be making its debut on the stand

From September 25 to October 2, visitors to the TruckProtect stand at IAA can see examples of InstantFit NECK-IT units that fit every make and model of commercial vehicle, which are now widely available throughout Europe and are making a major contribution to stopping the growing problem of fuel theft.

New to the Show this year is the range of anti-fuel siphon devices TruckProtect has designed especially for van owners, specifically those operating Mercedes Sprinter and Iveco Daily vehicles. Visitors can also learn about new units for other van types due to be introduced soon.

Like their truck and bus counterparts, the new van anti-fuel siphon units contain no moving parts and are easily fitted in minutes. Tough, robust and long-lasting, they too can handle high pump filling speeds and will not interfere with daily operations in any way, whilst also eliminating any risk of diesel spillage and splashback.

Also new to this year's IAA Show is backWATCH, a device that detects objects and people behind vehicles that are reversing with its innovative wireless fitment and operation and built-in self diagnosis. backWATCH has a valuable role to play in reducing reversing accidents, which saves companies having to pay out for damage or compensation to anyone hurt, and can prevent the consequential rise in insurance premiums that inevitably result from accidents.

The new wireless version of backWATCH can be fitted in 20 mins The system uses sensors that establish the proximity of objects to the rear of the vehicle up to 3m away, whilst an in-cab speaker emits a range of sounds that tell the driver how close he is to them and a visual “traffic light” array further alerts the driver..

Last but not least, visitors to IAA can explore the benefits of the EcoFuelKleanz. Adapted for commercial vehicles from the marine industry, EcoFuelKleanz units offer a low-cost, quick-fit solution that helps reduce breakdowns and service time, improves filter life and reduce black-smoke starts and emissions.

They work by preventing microbial and heavy particle sludging, which blocks fuel filters and injectors which, if left unchecked, can lead to the corrosion of engine fuel systems and tanks as a result of acids that build up in fuel over time. The overall result is both a reduction in maintenance and service costs and a cleaner-burning engine producing fewer carbon emissions. EcoFuelKleanz units are fitted in minutes into the fuel lines of vehicles without impeding the passage of fuel in any way and requires no power or maintenance.

Russell Fowler, TruckProtect's CEO, is looking forward to meeting many new customers at IAA, which is organised by the German Association of the Automobile Industry and recognised as one of the most important events in the calendar.

“IAA attracts visitors from all over Europe and across the world. It is the ideal place to launch and showcase our new products and generate new levels of interest in vehicle security and safety,” he says.

“Our determination to provide vehicle operators with a full range of security/safety products that are tested and proven from a single reliable source is well known, and our growing reputation for providing practical solutions has been key to generating repeat orders. We are aiming to build on this at IAA and I look forward to welcoming many new faces to our stand during the show,” he adds.
