Acumen Automotive Logistics invests in its enclosed vehicle fleet

Following its acquisition of specialist enclosed delivery operator ‘Enable’, Acumen Automotive Logistics has invested in four new Rolfo Auriga Deluxe enclosed semi-trailers in line with its decision to completely replace the existing Enclosed fleet.

The UK-based finished vehicle transporter has chosen the Rolfo Auriga Deluxe semi-trailers for their unique capability of transporting six 5 metre long cars at any one time. The Auriga Deluxe offers a range of benefits to customers and Acumen alike. These include bespoke low deck rigid vehicle and tail lifts for uploading a diverse range of cars as well as climate control interiors for moving high value or state-of-the-art vehicles.

Commenting, Peter Raybould, Director of Acumen Automotive Logistics said: “As a result of this investment, we are building on the strength of our offering by providing even greater efficiencies and diversity to best serve the specialist needs of our customers.”

The new enclosed semi-trailers will be utilised to move visually sensitive and specialist vehicles throughout the UK and Europe.

Acumen Automotive Logistics commenced Finished Vehicle deliveries in 2009. In January 2014, Acumen Automotive Logistics expanded its contract to deliver both Jaguar and Land Rover finished vehicles to UK Ports of Export and to dealerships throughout the South of England and Wales. In addition Acumen also undertakes ferry movements from Jaguar Land Rover Midlands’s plants to the company’ distribution centre and other localised deliveries.
