Advantech-DLoG has been renamed to Advantech Service-IoT GmbH

Advantech-DLoG has been renamed to Advantech Service-IoT GmbH and expands solution portfolio

As markets and technologies evolve, companies need to keep pace with changes and requirements. With the change of name from January 1st 2019 of Advantech Service-IoT GmbH, the company known as Advantech-DLoG or DLoG GmbH is not only fully committed to the Taiwanese mother company, but also opens up opportunities for expansion into new markets and product landscapes.

The Internet of Things (IoT) is gaining in importance in practical use. In the future, the new name and the products offered underline the company’s focus on the IoT and the competences stored here. In addition to the well-known and well-established vehicle terminals, Advantech will also be presenting a part of the new, expanded portfolio at LogiMAT, Feb. 19-21st 2019 in Stuttgart, to the specialist audience.

Performance and quality under a new name

Besides the renaming, everything stays as usual for the customer – the company headquarters in Germany with the known address, commercial register number, bank details and VAT ID. The main advantage is the expended product and service range.

The Advantech Group, with more than 8,600 employees worldwide, has an extremely broad product offering aimed at simplifying industrial processes. Markets and applications can be found in logistics, retail, healthcare, embedded computing, industrial automation, intelligent connectivity and systems, energy and environment, and the networking and communications industry. Customers can purchase sophisticated technology for different applications from a single source.

From product to solution orientation

The trend is increasingly going towards offering solutions rather than just hardware. “We´re just moving from being a hardware vendor to a SRP vendor to actively create solutions with partners in different industries, rather than just delivering individual hardware or software” explains Michael Kreft, Executive Sales Director Europe, Advantech Service-IoTs current future-oriented developments in the company. The result of the joint development work under the motto “Co-Creation” are ready-to-use solution packages (SRPs – Solution Ready Packages).

To promote this creative ecosystem, Advantech hosted the Advantech IoT Co-Creation Summit in China on November 1-2, 2018. 6,000 participants attended informative keynote speeches and inspiring panel discussions and took part in various workshops. In addition to Advantech, numerous partners and solution providers were represented to find solutions for different industries or to present some already developed solutions.

Advantech Service-IoT GmbH

As a global player in intelligent IoT systems and embedded platforms, Advantech Service-IoT GmbH is part of Advantech Co., Ltd., founded in 1983 in Taiwan.

Advantech promotes IoT hardware and software solutions to drive IoT, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence. It also supports business partners and customers in connecting industrial value chains. To help shape corporate ecosystems and accelerate the realization of industrial intelligence, Advantech leverages its ever-expanding networks of partners.

The trade name Advantech-DLoG, which was introduced in 2010, will continue to exist as a product brand after the name change. The brand name originated from the former DLoG GmbH, has now been renamed Advantech Service-IoT GmbH and has been fully integrated into the Advantech Group.
