Alban Trompette appointed as Head of Logistics for the UK with Geodis Group

Geodis Calberson, the UK division of global logistics group Geodis, has appointed an experienced manager from France, Alban Trompette as Head of Logistics for the UK.


In his new role Alban will be responsible for growing Geodis Calberson's business further in the UK. He is based at the company's state-of-the-art warehouse complex at Magna Park, Lutterworth.


He has extensive experience in the industry and has worked for Geodis for nine years, most recently as General Manager of the Logistics division for North East France for five years.


He said: "I am delighted to have the opportunity to help Geodis Calberson expand its operations in the UK at this exciting time.


"First we will consolidate and improve the business we already have with our existing customer base and then we will attract new customers, particularly from the automotive and wine and spirits sectors."

Alban has specialised in logistics from the outset of his career, having a degree in Logistics and Transport from the University of Reims, and a Masters degree from the University of Metz.


Aged 38, he is married to Stephanie, who supplies specialist equipment to dentists, and they have two school-age children. His family will join him soon in the UK.


In his spare time Alban enjoys both watching and playing tennis and football, going to the cinema and enjoying a glass of wine with friends.
