Entries are now welcomed for the Annual Awards for Excellence from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). The industry recognised prestige awards recognise the achievements and encourage the highest standards of professionalism in the practice of logistics and transport.
The awards are a way of identifying those organisations and individuals whose performance has been outstanding and signal that they are leaders in their field. Whatever the size of the organisation, excellence is achievable, and CILT encourages entries from organisations of all sizes and sectors. The awards are widely acclaimed by the industry press and the business community, and are a source of pride to colleagues, shareholders, clients and future employees.
Finalists will be invited to a Gala Dinner on Thursday 18th October 2012 at which the winners will be announced and the awards will be presented. Held at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, London, this popular event is also attended by sponsors, members and their guests, and offers one of the best networking opportunities of the year. Last year's dinner was once again a sell out and those wishing to attend are advised to reserve places now to avoid disappointment.
CILT Chief Executive Steve Agg said: 'The value and importance of winning a CILT award by an organisation or individual cannot be overestimated. Nominated finalists and ultimate winners are able to maximise the commercial appeal which acknowledgement of their professional standards by their industry peers brings, together with the professional pride which recognition of their achievements provides."
