Assess your abilities with Mentor at IMHX 2013

As the UK's foremost training provider, Mentor will be using its stand at IMHX 2013 (19J117) to allow fork lift truck operators, supervisors and managers to assess their abilities on its interactive Virtual Risk Manager (VRM) module.

Developed with input from fork lift truck employers, the VRM system quickly and accurately identifies where areas for improvement are required. As a result, employers can focus fork truck operator training on those individuals who pose the highest risk, thereby achieving the highest safety benefit - without wasting time and resources.

Visitors to the Mentor stand will simply log into the system, using a touch-screen to work through a series of questions and scenarios, which will build a personal profile covering topics such as attitude, knowledge, behaviour and hazard perception.

According to Richard Shore, Managing Director of Mentor: "In a workplace situation, the Virtual Risk Manager will provide a detailed breakdown of risk ratings across all of a company's fork lift truck operators, informing plans for future training - with the ability to prioritise individuals who most need attention. In addition, it has the potential to minimise training costs by determining the appropriate type of training required by each individual.

"On our stand at IMHX, though, a quick session on the VRM is both engaging and entertaining - yet informative - a challenge for anyone whose work involves fork lift trucks."
