Leading pallet distribution network Pall-Ex has announced the two recipients of its coveted Trunk Driver of the Year Award.
The annual event recognises the professionalism and dedication shown by drivers across Pall-Ex's 100 depot strong network, with the winners being chosen by fork lift drivers at Pall-Ex's central hub in Leicestershire.
Tony Macklin of Pall-Ex Logistics has been named Day Trunk Driver of the Year, while Surrey Pallitz's Ian McColl has received the Night Trunk Driver of the Year title. Both men have been presented with a bottle of Champagne, high street gift vouchers, a certificate and a limited edition cased Pall-Ex model truck to recognise their achievement.
Commenting on the awards, Pall-Ex's Managing Director, Adrian Russell, said: "All of the drivers in the network do a wonderful job all year round in order to maintain our renowned standards and reputation.
"This year, our fork lift truck drivers believe that both Tony and Ian have gone that extra mile, demonstrating a high level of commitment to their jobs. It has therefore been our pleasure to acknowledge their efforts with these awards."
