Birmingham logistics firm grows business with new Hozelock contract

Lichfield-based logistics firm, Palletways Birmingham, boosted business growth after renewing its contract with fellow Midlands firm and global manufacturer of gardening products, Hozelock.

The contract will see Palletways Birmingham continue its 13 year relationship with Hozelock to distribute the manufacturer’s product lines across the UK, Ireland and Europe. It is anticipated that more than 24,000 pallets will be distributed to a number of DIY and garden centres per year.

Commenting on the contract, Michelle Naylor, General Manager at Palletways Birmingham, said: "Over the years we have built a strong relationship with Hozelock and we are looking to develop this relationship even further over the coming year as we plan to provide extra support during the spring bank holidays.

"We specialise in providing bespoke logistics solutions to enable our customers to meet the demands within their supply chains."

Terry Bennett, Group Supply Chain Director for Hozelock, said: "Hozelock has a longstanding history of making the best quality products coupled with the best quality service to our customers. Palletways provides us with the level of flexibility required to meet the demand within the market place, especially during peak seasons such as spring, summer and bank holidays."

Palletways Birmingham is part of Palletways Group, Europe’s fastest and largest delivery network for palletised freight, and serves customers in central and northeast Birmingham, including Sutton Coldfield, Walsall, Cannock, Lichfield, Tamworth, Dudley, Stourbridge and Kidderminster areas.
