BITO racks up growth

Many businesses are forging ahead in 2009, despite the restrictions imposed by the credit crunch. One such company is leading storage systems manufacturer the BITO Group and recognising that customers are seeking value in the current economic climate BITO has introduced an incentive discount for UK customers that offers up to 25 per cent discount on orders in excess of £2500.

2008 was a tremendous year for the BITO Group. The company, based in Meisenheim in Germany, turned over 150 million Euros, which continues the Group's impressive achievement of doubling turnover annually during the last four years. Undeterred by the current economic climate, BITO has also set a target to maintain this growth rate underpinned by the strength of its solutions that can offer customers a great deal of value and efficiency.

A further significant contributor to the Group's continued expansion is the opening of subsidiaries in important new territories.

India represents BITO's first commitment outside Europe having launched a joint venture company in June 2006 with local storage system company Nikamal called NBSS (Nikamal-BITO Storage Systems) and established a production plant to manufacture BITO's PRO racking. Production commenced at the plant in April 2007. With Nikamal's local knowledge, the company is very well placed to develop the burgeoning Indian and neighbouring markets. The plant has already supplied significant systems for key clients in the region such as Asian Paints and Mahindra & Mahindra. BITO has also opened an office subsidiary in Dubai, which will open up another important geographical territory.

In the UK, BITO achieved 20 per cent growth during 2008, which has been a year of important developments. These include the opening of high tech new offices in Nuneaton, where the company also introduced its new test facility. Significant new products introduced to the UK last year included BITO's new PRO racking and the innovative empty pallet stacking system for dynamic storage systems.

A number of innovative product launches are slated for launch throughout 2009 and BITO has also published an updated and expanded new product catalogue and a project guide – both key industry publications.

Edward Hutchison commented: "The difficult economic circumstances faced by many businesses both in the UK and globally, has made it more important than ever for companies to find solutions that help to improve their efficiency. BITO's comprehensive range together with the guidance offered initially by our Catalogue and Guide and then further down the line by our experienced storage consultants and the new test facility will help ensure the customer is getting the most efficient solution. The discount that we can offer means that we can provide value also."
