Bobcat equipment outstanding at Russian Demo Show

In Russia, Bobcat and National Rental Company (NRC), an Authorised Dealer for Bobcat and Doosan, have jointly hosted a very successful Demonstration Show for customers in Novosibirsk, located in the southwestern part of Siberia and the third most populous city in Russia after Moscow and St Petersburg.

Welcoming over 50 existing and prospective customers to the event, NRC received very positive feedback on the machines and attachments being demonstrated including several such as the new Bobcat T40180 18 m telehandler and the Bobcat E45 4.6 tonne compact excavator that are new to the Siberian market.

Attendees included the owners of large and medium-sized businesses, directors of public and private companies, the heads of asset management companies, housebuilders, companies involved in landscape design, organisations engaged in laying communication lines, as well as senior mechanics and engineers from a number of construction companies.

Attachment Demonstrations
The demonstrations of special attachments such as the Bobcat soil conditioner, landplane, self-levelling planer and vibratory roller products were all well received, especially by the customers from the landscaping and housebuilding markets. The demonstrations proved very effective with a purchase being made at the show itself of a new Bobcat S650H skid-steer loader with self-levelling planer and auger attachments, with several other orders expected to be confirmed shortly.

The wide range of attachments demonstrated at the event included different sized buckets for construction works; the clamshell bucket, pallet forks, hydraulic hammers, augers, trenchers, brushes, planers, rollers, the soil conditioner and the Brushcat rotary brush cutter. During the demonstrations, NRC showed the complete cycle of works required for the preparation of land for building bungalows, cottages and other low-rise buildings. After the demonstrations, many of the attendees were able to try out the Bobcat equipment for themselves.

The Bobcat T40180 18 m telehandler is based on an easy-to-use design that provides class-leading efficiency and productivity backed by state-of-the-art safety systems. The T40180 telehandler has a maximum lift capacity of 4 tonne and a maximum lift height of 17.52 m. The lift capacity at maximum lift height is 2.5 tonne, while at maximum reach (13.7 m), the lift capacity is 560 kg. Unloaded, the T40180 weighs 10.79 tonne and provides a crowding force of 12300 daN.

The new T40180 model delivers market leading load chart performance in its class, when operating on tyres alone, where the high stability of the telehandler ensures minimal loss of lift height and capacity. As a result, the T40180 telehandler has an unmatched maximum lifting height of 16.2 m when operated on tyres.

Equipped with cab and bucket, the E45 has an operating weight of 4634 kg and offers a maximum digging depth of 3300 mm. The E45 also has breakout forces of 28.0 kN in the dipper arm and 35.1 kN at the bucket and a lifting capacity of 2369 kg at ground level and at a radius of 3 m.
