Steve, who lives in Bury, will be working on industrial applications for the company's range of mechanical movement solutions and joins the team immediately after being made redundant from Sandusky Walmsley upon the company's announcement in September that it was going into liquidation.

During his time at Bender Forrest Ltd, prior to joining Sandusky, he was senior project engineer for mechanical installations.

His specific contribution at British Turntable is expected to involve major or complex industrial projects such as the installation of turntable divisible auditoriums (TDAs), revolving restaurants, people-movers and heavy-goods vehicle access revolves where his project management experience will add value to the British Turntable offering by providing a seamless service from initial brief through design, manufacture and installation to after-sales and customer care.

British Turntable's work in the industrial sector includes the design and build of structural turntables to rotate vehicles, from the smallest of cars to the largest of trucks, including military vehicles; materials handling turntables to aid the efficient movement of a wide variety of goods in industry; azimuth positioners to achieve remote control of equipment undergoing x-ray inspection, ultrasonic inspection, radar imaging or testing for electromagnetic compatibility; revolving restaurants; TDAs; people-movers, and a range of specialist equipment for the leisure industry.
