Budget Forktrucks adds new bespoke trailer to enhance point of delivery excellence

Materials handling equipment supplier Budget Forktrucks has invested in a new bespoke trailer to enhance its ability to transport its vehicles to customers in a safe, fast and efficient manner.

The new trailer is manufactured by Nooteboom and augments Budget Forktrucks’ ongoing delivery and expansion of services strategy.

The benefits of the specialised trailer include curtain-side bodywork to protect forklifts from rain whilst they are being transported. It also has a roof that can be opened to enable over-height forklifts to be loaded safely.

Up to eight forklifts can be carried at a time, and easy loading is available thanks to a hydraulically operated ramp. All of these features help to ensure a better service for the company’s customers, whether they are requesting a hire or buying a vehicle.

Andy Evans, Budget Forktrucks’ Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to add another dimension to our offering. The new low loader trailer greatly improves our ability to transport our vehicles and, ultimately, our ability to deliver a quality service to our customers.

“The new low loader will join our company’s existing fleet of two purpose-built lorries, which have a carrying capacity of up to 22 tonnes, and the semi-sloping low loader with full width ramp.”

The team can deliver anywhere in London at competitive rates, and Budget Forktrucks’ transport and hire team can provide customers with a fast same-day delivery service. The company’s drivers are very experienced in transporting a full range of materials handling equipment.

Budget Forktrucks Ltd is one of the leading providers of material handling solutions in the South with a hire fleet of over 450 trucks from a wide range of manufacturers. Based in Reading, its specialised transporters can deliver 99% of hire or sale requirements in an efficient and prompt manner. Budget Forktrucks offers one day to five years’ hire terms, and can provide forklift training as well as maintenance and repair services. All of Budget Forktrucks’ engineers are FLTA-certified LOLER inspectors.
