Caljan Rite-Hite Looking Forward

Caljan Rite-Hite acquires manufacturer of key logistic components LogComp. Firmly positioned as the leading manufacturer of safe logistic solutions for loading and unloading loose-loaded goods, Caljan Rite-Hite is growing rapidly. As of 1st January 2008, LogComp GmbH in Hildesheim and Steinhagen, Germany, are integral parts of the Caljan Rite-Hite Group.

This acquisition means that Caljan Rite-Hite's comprehensive programme of telescopic conveyors and parcel registration units will be extended to include belt curves and labelling systems.

Experienced

Established in June 2005, LogComp is a relative newcomer to the logistics branch. However, key personnel have accumulated more than 75 years experience in belt curves and labelling.

Uwe B. Schöning, President of LogComp GmbH, is

pleased; "Caljan Rite-Hite focuses on providing its customers with safe logistic solutions that provide added value to their businesses. This strategy harmonises with our next step, based on the solid platform that LogComp has established with an extensive series of successful installations." He

continued; "The management team at LogComp want to expand considerably. In order to realise this, we need a financially strong partner with a prime international position, who is capable of producing and handling all major projects. We are certain that becoming part of the Caljan Rite-Hite organisation is the best possible way to accomplish this."

Business as usual

Henrik Olesen, Group President of Caljan Rite-Hite notes that the company's main concern at present is to ensure that Caljan Rite-Hite and LogComp customers are not adversely affected by the structural changes; "Initially, business will continue as usual, ensuring that current projects are handled effectively and without delay. During 2008, we will amalgamate in full, incorporating LogComp's expertise into our organisation and combining our production facilities. Our objective is to improve safety, security and productivity for our customers. A key factor here is providing quality components. The curves manufactured by LogComp have a unique, modular design that matches our product line."

Caljan CurveTrack

The belt curve line of products has been named Caljan CurveTrack. This range is dedicated to moving unit loads through a curve to the next conveyor unit and is ideal for applications such as baggage handling in airports, and sorting in express parcel services, distribution centres or mail order houses.

LogComp Labelling systems

LogComp's labelling activities will continue under the management of Karl W. Froehler. Complete print-and-apply systems, including control and data technology, are designed, engineered and manufactured in Steinhagen. Standard components are customised to suit the customer's particular application.
