Cartwright Fleet Services, part of the Cartwright Group, has invested in a new fleet of mobile service vans for its team of fleet technicians.
Each van is fully liveried with the company’s logo and corporate colours.
The vans are all Mercedes Sprinters supplied by Ciceley Commercials and are being used in the field by Cartwright’s team of fleet technicians servicing the company’s fleet maintenance contracts. All are fully fitted with the latest diagnostics equipment and stocked with a range of fast moving trailer parts.
Lawrence Todd, Fleet Director of CFS, commented: "All of our fleet technicians are fully skilled with the additional benefit of specific Cartwright training on both chassis and double deck equipment and this ensures the ability to carry out a first time fix on the company’s extensive range of products. In addition all technicians have recently attended and passed the industry recognised IRTEC training program.
"Each technician is working off a tablet computer, sending and receiving emails, completing PMI and documents online which are automated and forwarded to the customer on a live basis removing the need for unnecessary paperwork.
"This has vastly increased efficiency and is a value added bonus for our customers.
"Our objective is to encourage ‘e’ compliance in all areas of our service offering," he said.
Lawrence Todd revealed that Cartwright Fleet Services is developing an App to allow customers a live mobile view of availability and compliance. This is currently undergoing testing.
He also said there were plans in the pipeline to increase the company’s team of maintenance engineers to strengthen its current commitment to a robust network.
He added: "The offering and indeed impact from Cartwright Fleet Services is huge and our in-house expertise will offer a mixed solution to customers to not only build but to maintain their products.
"It is a major extension of the company’s traditional body trailer and manufacturing pedigree and with a network of over 150 service partners covering all trailer requirements including compliance and cost control."
