Steven Cartwright, Director of Cartwright commented: "Our Rentals Division has expanded dramatically over the past five years and we are looking towards an annual turnover of approaching £20 million in the current financial year.
"We have the largest trailer rental offering in the UK and the advantage is that it allows new customers to try our product range before considering the option of an investment in new build products," he said.
Steven Cartwright also revealed that the company is investigating sites in the North-West, London and in the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire region.
The central administration of the Rentals Division is based at Wythenshawe in Manchester. Other Cartwright rentals sites are based at Avonmouth, Cardiff, Northampton, Bruntingthorpe and its head office in Altrincham.
Commenting on the growth of the Rentals Division over the past year he said: "Our Rentals Division is currently enjoying a 'buoyant' market with trailer utilisation up by 600 trailers which is up to 5 per cent on last year.
"We have further expansion planned over the next six months, bringing over diverse rental solutions, to more customers.
"Enquiry levels, particularly from major plcs, manufacturers and small to medium sized operators across the board is very healthy indeed for all product types but especially for double deck equipment.
"Indeed, our major growth area is particularly focused on double decks of all types - curtainsiders, boxes and refrigerated units.
He added: "The current enquiry levels are the highest for nearly six years. Our image is growing as a rental provider as well as being a manufacturer.
"We are aiming for about 85 per cent utilisation of the rental fleet this year."
