Cartwright’s unique finance offering to customers helps grow the company’s business

The Cartwright success story is probably better known for innovation and the quality of its body and trailer manufacturing, but the business has been built on solid foundations including the best value finance solutions in the industry.

Indeed, financial solutions, through the organisation’s unique in house and flexible finance offering, are very much an integral part of the company’s commitment to provide its customers with ‘Manufacturing and more…..’

Cartwright customers have a choice of finance packages each of which have individual benefits and advantages dependent on a company’s particular requirements.

These options range from an Operating Lease to Contract Hire, Hire Purchase or Finance Lease. Full Repair and Maintenance packages are also offered along with the lease through Cartwright Fleet Services and are tailored to each individual’s needs.

Cartwright has offered its customers the advantage of dealing direct with the manufacturer for their new competitive and flexible finance solutions since 1997. Since then the man in the driving seat steering the company’s range of unique finance products has been its Commercial Director Hiren Bakhda.

Hiren is an experienced leasing professional, who has been involved with the company since the original launch of Cartwright Finance Limited. He has subsequently concluded hundreds of finance deals with Cartwright customers large and small over the past 16 years.

He sincerely believes the success of Cartwright Finance has played an important part in the unprecedented growth of the Cartwright business model in recent years and the company’s directors agree wholeheartedly.

As Commercial Director he has access to a range of funders and is not tied into just one lender, ensuring that the Cartwright customer base has the advantage of the best finance rates available.

Hiren works very closely with the Cartwright sales department headed by Darren Holland. "My role is actually more of an aid to the sales function as our rates are so competitive and the packages so flexible that it can benefit the sales process.

"The aim is to tailor a finance package to the customer’s exact requirements which hopefully, in the majority of cases, enhances the customer experience," he said.

More than 90 per cent of finance packages to the customer base are through Cartwright’s attractive Operating Lease. The residual value is set and the customer returns the trailer at the end of the lease agreement, explained Hiren.

"Contract Hire is all encompassing, including repair, maintenance and tyres, 24 hour breakdown services and the option to secure a spare trailer provision for total peace of mind.

"Another popular alternative is Hire Purchase particularly with companies who want a trailer as an asset on their balance sheet whilst being able to claim ‘writing down allowances.’
