Confirmed speakers include Eugene Kaspersky, Hamid Akhavan and Jimmy Wales
Over the past few years the Hannover-based CeBIT Global Conferences have become a major drawing card for the global IT community. And the faster the date approaches for the world's No. 1 IT conference event, the more high-caliber speakers have confirmed their participation. CeBIT Global Conferences will take place during all five days of CeBIT 2014 next spring - from 10 to 14 March.
The latest confirmation has just come in from Eugene Kaspersky, Chief Executive Officer of Kaspersky Lab and one of the world's most influential IT security experts. Given the latest developments involving state surveillance and IT espionage, a high level of interest in his presentation on 11 March is assured.
Secure communications will also be a key aspect of Hamid Akhava's presentation. The Chief Executive Officer of Unify (formerly Siemens Enterprise Communications) will be speaking on 11 March about the latest developments in the field of unified communications - underscoring the status of communications technology as a major theme at CeBIT.
A special highlight will be an appearance by Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales, who is indisputably one of the digital industry's most formative minds. Wales will be offering insights into his thoughts and the importance of free knowledge on 14 March at the CeBIT Global Conferences.
Further speakers in this high-caliber array include Talmon Marco, CEO of Viber Media, Bryan Trussel, co-founder and CEO of the Glympse location sharing service, Mikko Hypponen, Chief Research Officer at F-Secure, and Dr. Gunter Küchler, Member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Systems. A total of some 100 speakers will fill out the 70-hour program at the CeBIT Global Conferences 2014.
"We are delighted to have received so many confirmations from such high-caliber speakers at such an early stage," commented CeBIT Managing Board Member Oliver Frese, adding that "they are what make the CeBIT Global Conferences so unique." The new concept of the IT confab, taking place for the first time in its own hall (Hall 8) in 2014, has gone down well not only among the speakers, but also with CeBIT attendees.
Many people have already taken advantage of the opportunity to secure an early bird discount ticket for the CeBIT Global Conferences. This offer however is soon to expire, with the first phase of the "early bird" special running out on 30 November. "Just looking at these high-caliber speakers, there can be no question that attending the conference will be a highly rewarding experience," remarked Frese.
The conference languages at CeBIT Global Conferences are English and German (simultaneous translation provided). For further information on the program, speakers and tickets, visit http://www.cebit.de/en/cgc.
