Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport CILT announces shortlist for annual awards

Some of the biggest names in UK logistics and transport feature on the shortlist for the industry's stellar awards event. The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT) has announced the list of finalists for the eleven categories which form part of its prestigious Annual Awards for Excellence.

One of the major highlights of the Institute's calendar, the Annual Awards for Excellence Dinner 2009, will take place on Thursday 22 October 2009, at the London Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square, hosted by television and radio presenter, Ray Stubbs.

The Awards will honour individuals, companies and other organisations, who and which have made major contributions to achieving higher and ever improving standards in logistics and transport operations during the last year. CILT Chief Executive Steve Agg said 'Despite the awful problems that the recession has forced us all to deal with during the last twelve months, it is exciting and stimulating to see that standards of operation, performance and achievement in the logistics and ttransport sector continue to rise. The quality of entry to the CILT Awards for Excellence is staggering, and there can be no doubt that the winners will walk away with the well deserved admiration of the whole industry.'

CILT welcomes applications for individual tickets and tables, and a limited number of sponsorship opportunities remain available (see below).
