Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport lecture Towards the Sustainable Supply Chain

Towards the Sustainable Supply Chain: Balancing the Needs of Business, Economy and Environment is the theme of the 15th Annual Conference of the Logistics Research Network (LRN).

The event is jointly organised by The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK (CILT) and the University of Leeds Institute for Transport Studies (ITS). It will be held at the Majestic Hotel, Harrogate from Wednesday 8th to Friday 10th September 2010.

The conference theme this year recognises the growing importance of managing sustainable supply chains in a changing and challenging global environment. In addition to the plenary sessions presented by industry speakers, the conference programme also reflects the wide range of research topics relating to logistics, supply chain management and transportation. The event provides a forum to present and discuss current issues and for networking with international colleagues.

Overall the event will provide the opportunity for the presentation of approximately 100 papers and special features in the programme include the PhD Workshop to be held on 8th September and the Conference Dinner during which the Annual Logistics/Supply Chain Distribution Awards 2010 will be presented, on 9th September.

The conference registration fee, including refreshments, lunch, evening reception and Conference Dinner is £355 and a booking form is available at www.lrn2010.org.uk. Overseas non-members can attend for £395, which includes one year's e-membership of CILT.

Delegates can attend for one day only at the daily rate of £180 per day, but this does not include entry to the Conference Dinner.
