CILT's Annual Awards for Excellence 2015 winners revealed in London last night

Over 500 of the UK’s leading professionals in transport, logistics and transport planning gathered in London last night for The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport’s Annual Awards Dinner. The prestigious Awards were held at one of London’s premier venues - the Lancaster London Hotel. CILT’s Annual Awards are designed to recognise achievement and to encourage the highest standards and a professional approach to the practice of logistics and transport.


Hailed as one of the best networking events of the year, this year’s Awards were attended by finalists, sponsors, members and their guests.


The event was chaired by CILT President Beverley Bell FCILT, and hosted by TV presenter Naga Munchetty.


There were a total of 20 categories presented on the night and the Institute’s Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, presented the Awards to each winner, accompanied by the Institute’s President, Beverley Bell FCILT.


CILT’s special award for outstanding achievement, the Sir Robert Lawrence Award, was presented by John Boulter FCILT, Managing Director, DHL Supply Chain to Steven Parkin, Chairman, Clipper Logistics plc.


Other winners on the night included: BBC journalist, Richard Westcott; Allport Cargo Services and Sainsbury’s; United Biscuits in partnership with Logistex; Heathrow Airport; Palletways; Transport for Greater Manchester; Reading Buses and CEMEX UK Logistics.


CILT President Beverley Bell also awarded outgoing Institute Chairman Neil Ashworth and the Institute’s outgoing Chief Executive Steve Agg with the prestigious President’s Award for their commitment and work with the Institute.
