Circle announces new appointments

CIRCLE EXPRESS, the preferred road transport provider to the UK airfreight industry, is strengthening its management and marketing team with four new appointments.

KEVIN POPELY is Sales and Marketing Director. He brings a wide experience of sales and marketing to the post, having achieved a top salesman award for three consecutive years, as well as setting up new markets for existing products in previous posts. . Since joining Circle, he has established a customer-liaison centre, a new sales force, and is currently organising a fully-computerised track-and-trace system for packages.

TOM RYAN, is Circle's new Business Development Director. He was UK Warehouse and Transport Manager with Exel, and UK and Ireland Operations Manager with Total Logistics Management. His responsibilities will include developing Circle's portfolio of products, ERTS and X-raying, as well as development of export business and contract hire vehicles. He will be working closely with the Operations Director and Sales and Marketing Director.

LOUISE COFFEY, is Human Resource Manager, and brings both a strong academic background and work experience in HR to the post. She has a MA qualification in HR Management & CIPD, gained at Leeds University.

ANDY SMITH has been appointed Depot Manager at Circle's Exeter depot. He spent 17 years with Nippon Express, where he set up UK and European trunking routes and local delivery services. His responsibility will include enhancing Circle's customer service and increasing depot profitability
