Clearabee establishes Edinburgh depot to complete nationwide roll-out

Clearabee, the on-demand rubbish removal company, today announced that it has opened a depot in Musselburgh, just outside Edinburgh, to provide waste management services to customers across Scotland.

Clearabee has hired five people in Scotland and will initially operate three rubbish removal trucks from its new base. With growing demand for its services, Clearabee plans to employ 10 people and run five trucks in Scotland by the end of 2015.

The opening of the Edinburgh depot completes Clearabee’s initial UK rollout, enabling it to offer same-day or next-day rubbish removal services across all parts of mainland Britain. Its professional rubbish removal teams can remove almost all waste streams and are frequently called on to remove single bulky items, provide house clearance services and clear fly-tipped waste on behalf of local authorities and housing associations.

Clearabee’s flexible and environmentally friendly rubbish clearance and removal services have been used by more than 30,000 household, business and local authority customers since it started trading in 2013. It now employs 50 people at 15 sites across the UK.

Rob Linton, operations director at Clearabee, comments: “We are delighted to open a depot in Scotland. It marks the completion of our initial UK roll out, enabling us to serve all four corners of mainland Britain and provide our largest customers with a nationwide multi-site rubbish removal service. Through our quick, efficient and fully compliant service, we remove tens of thousands of tonnes of junk and other waste each year, and partner with waste transfer stations that operate a zero-to-landfill policy wherever possible.”
