CMP’s new van fleet offering customers more

Chloride Motive Power has invested in a fleet of new Vauxhall vans for their Service Technicians. Not only will this offer CMP an up-to-date reliable vehicle fleet, but it will also boast a new livery – featuring the brands offered by the Exide Group. But the changes are not just cosmetic – the interior of the vans has been redesigned to improve operational efficiency and after sales service. Technicians will be able to carry more equipment, which should allow them to fix even more batteries on the first visit. If appropriate, it will also allow them to take away redundant single-cells from customers' traction batteries that have reached the end of their service life; they will be taken away by the CMP engineer for recycling.

Commenting on the new fleet, Roger Cole, National Service Manager, UK & Ireland said, "Our Technicians are very excited about their new vans. The blue vans have been replaced with striking white ones and will be equally as distinctive. CMP has the largest team of in-house battery Technicians covering the whole of the UK. We also have an enviable 90%+ first-time fix rate which we hope to build upon and the fact that our technicians are licensed to remove scrap cells for recycling demonstrates our increasing commitment to the environment and the quiet, non-polluting sustainable power source.
