Leading telematics and driver behaviour specialist CMS SupaTrak has been recognised for its contribution towards environmental best practice, having been awarded a Green Apple Award for its work with Kier Services.
The company has been recognised for a joint project where CMS SupaTrak’s EcoTrak fuel saving technology was installed into Kier’s RCV fleet. Within 12 months, Kier saw savings of 70,966 litres of diesel, and 188 tonnes of carbon, which clearly demonstrates the environmental benefits of the technology.
The EcoTrak technology is supported by an ongoing programme of training, delivered to drivers, management and administrators, which allows staff to make the most of the software.
CMS SupaTrak and Kier will be presented with their award at a ceremony in November, which will be held in the House of Commons. The partnership may also be put forward to represent Britain in the Brussels-led European Business Awards for the Environment.
The Green Apple Environmental Awards were launched in 1994 by The Green Organisation, and are now seen as one of the major environmental recognition schemes, both in the UK and internationally.
CMS SupaTrak offers a wide range of telematics solutions to suit a variety of needs including vehicle tracking, mobile working and driver behaviour management solutions.
